Not all hero’s wear capes, John Rawlings, Manatee Dundee

It was a quiet morning at the Villas Key West of St James City, FL  when my wife and owner Parker Carwile,  noticed a Manatee had beached itself. This turned into an educational experience on wildlife and lifesaving tactics for our new friend Coconut the Manatee.  The story does end well, Coconut is currently in rehabilitation at SeaWorld Orlando, where he is on his way to a full recovery and will be released soon.
